    A noise coming from the transfer case?

    Possible diagnosis= HS transfer case

    In fact, most of the time this failure comes from the servomotor which activates the Xdrive.

    More precisely the reduction pinion which is fragile originally and loses its teeth causing the transfer case to malfunction.

    Transfer cases type: ATC400, ATC500, ATC700

    During assembly, seal the kit with a sealant such as Loctite SI 5970.
